Boys and Girls Club Rolling Urban Art

Andrew Lewis lead a project design for the Boys’ and Girls’ Club of London this summer and worked with students from the Thames Valley District school board and in the Beal Art program. He created the original design and background artwork, and students added colours, but there are hundreds of little drawings added by the students, giving them a voice to express themselves.

“The major part of this project is empowering student voices so they are represented in the community. Another impact has been the opportunity for students to collaborate,”
-Laura Briscoe, the board’s innovation learning co-ordinator

“People will look at it (the bus), smile, and have energy. It’s a good, interesting, engaging piece of artwork rolling on four wheels.” - Andrew Lewis
