I attended Carrickfergus College which was one of many schools within the Carrickfergus area of Northern Ireland. The school was one of the biggest in the area with a lot of facilities available to students of which the IT facilities which I found very handy during my 7-year attendance. I had a huge interest within the IT area of school and very much enjoyed completing many of the class projects one of which we created a website, I decided to create a watch site which the outcome was extremely professional and was one of the best within the class. I achieved very good grades within my time here and due to this I decided that I would progress in my interests of IT and website development.
I decided after having a successful time at school with my interests that I would then move onto a level 5 course of which was based within the Belfast Metropolitan College at Titanic Quarter Belfast. This was a Foundation Degree in Interactive Multimedia Design of which I knew that would be a challenge but one that I could excel in and that I could put my skills to the test and study the individual part of IT I took pride in. The course runs a total of 2 years of which I will do a work placement where I will be doing my personal work placement within a local business in Carrickfergus Big Wet Fish.
After the two years within Belfast Met I would like to progress onto Ulster University to continue my studies within the course. This will be the next chapter in my life one that will bring new challenges. Eventually I wish to look at the possibility of moving into secondary school IT teaching which I could use my previous experiences at the met and university to be granted access to the courses I would then need to do.
